Maryland - Part Four
On Monday we went
to Annapolis, well-known as a boat marina, Naval Academy, Old Town and
the capital of Maryland. We enjoyed watching many boats on the water
as well as many people who came to shop around.
On Tuesday at 8:30
the game started with USA vs. Cuba. I found both teams played well
and strongly, until the 7th inning when Cuba earned one run to win the
game. USA made several costly mistakes to lose the game. After
the game, we sneaked out to Springfield to meet my deaf 18 years old nephew for
the first time. He looks great as ever. He told me that he
plans to attend Community College in Florida this Fall. We chatted for a
couple of hours and returned back to Gally to see other games.
On Wednesday we went
to Jan Cannon stadium near Baltimore, MD, and found a group of Cuban players
sitting on the beach. We chatted with them by using gestures to communicate.
One guy who was a best pitcher chatted with Sherry a lot and made her feel
sympathetic, so she went out to the mall and bought several clothes.
She knows he has a hard life in Cuba. He asked us to come over to
his home in Cuba. I told him that I couldn't make it or make any
promise. He understood.
USA won today over
Venezula by 14-4.
