![]() On Wednesday I took advice from a friend to avoid using Route 91 to Route 95 to Maryland, instead use Route 84. It ended up with my frustration on Route 84, standing on the parkway without moving a bit, so I exited and used a different route toward New York City, with a one-hour loss caused by mixing up so many routes to make me confused, until I found the famous George Washington Bridge on Route 95 to relieve my frustration. The trip was nice, but one in awhile I put on my raincoat on the way to Maryland. Finally, I stopped by Sherry Hodge's place in Laurel, MD. She used to be my girlfriend at Gallaudet. We have not seen each other for 16 years! Her good friend, Humberto Jasso, Sherry and I, chatted all night and they told me about some Deaf couples living around Laurel. It looks like a Deaf colony. On Thursday I did a little to prepare for seeing friends, the Open Ceremony, and more. I visited another friend, Cheryl Shevlin, my classmate at Gallaudet, to keep me busy while Sherry had to work today. |
